We LOVE hearing from you!
The Muddy Moose Bath Boutique
If you think our Goat's Milk Soaps are luxurious, have we got a treat for you! Our Goat's Milk Skin Cream is a thick rich lotion packed full of high quality, skin loving oils with the added benefits of goat's milk.
Because this lotion is so thick, you don't need to slather it on.....a little goes a long way! Because this lotion is unlike any other, you will need to see how your skin reacts to it. Everyone's skin is different, so you will want to start with the tiniest amount possible and go up from there.
Glycerin: is a humectant....meaning, that it attracts moisture to your skin. And isn't that the point of a lotion, anyway? Our goat's milk skin cream contains a high percentage of glycerin which also helps to improve the spread-ability of the cream and also prevents the cream from drying out due to evaporation.
Jojoba Oil: Jojoba oil (pronounce ho-ho-ba) is very similar in composition of our skin's natural oils (sebum). It is not actually an oil, but a liquid wax. It penetrates the skin rapidly to nourish it. Jojoba is great for softening and moisturizing mature and dry skin. It helps to heal inflamed skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema or any form of dermatitis. It is also known to help control acne. This ingredient is the reason it is best to use our lotion in small amounts at first until you learn how much works for you. Helps to unclog pores and remove grime.
Avocado Oil: Avocado oil nourishes and restores dry, dehydrated, and mature skin. It is a rich, heavy oil. Skin problems, especially eczema and psoriasis, respond to its high content of vitamins A and E. This is a highly therapeutic oil which is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, vitamins D and E. Because it is so therapeutic and highly moisturizing, skin problems
such as rashes, eczema and aging skin respond very well to this oil.
Also help to promote the regeneration of scarred skin.
~ Focusing on natural ingredients, and specializing in good for your skin products. ~
Besides those ingredients, our lotion also contains emulsifying wax, which helps the liquids blend together with the oils and form and emulsion. Stearic Acid which helps to thicken the lotion, distilled water, and of course pure, whole goat's milk and a preservative.
Why do we use a preservative? Well, it is necessary to ensure the safety of our lotion. Without it, our lotions would only have a shelf life of about 2-3 weeks, tops. It helps keep the "ickies" out and retain the goodness. We have chosen to use a paraben-free preservative, optiphen.
Shea Butter: Shea Butter is highly emollient, meaning that it has the ability to soften and sooth your skin. This property makes it a great choice for dry, damage and mature skin. It also is a good choice for those who suffer from psoriasis, eczema and acne. Shea butter is quickly absorbed into the skin and does not leave a greasy residue behind. It can help retain your skin's elasticity and aid cellular regeneration, which also makes it a good choice for women trying to combat stretch marks. High in Vitamins A and E.
